On the Trail of UFOs

 David will be featured in the next installment of the “On the Trail of Series” by filmmaker Seth Breedlove and his band at Small Town Monsters.

On the Trail of UFOs is an ambitious project and is already shaping up to be another Small Town Monsters hit. As the SMT website notes:

“From Small Town Monsters and filmmaker, Seth Breedlove, comes the third season of the independent, paranormal sensation, “On the Trail of…” On the Trail of UFOs takes the Small Town Monsters crew on a cross-country adventure that leads from the gates of Area 51 to the streets of Manhattan.

Join host, Shannon LeGro, as she travels across the United States, tracking the ins and outs of UFOlogy while seeking her own, person encounter with unknown aerial phenomena.

The third season of “On the Trail of…” is already shaping up to be the biggest yet, with more cast members, a wider array of locations, and serious, investigative work.”

Two of David's books have made the list of this year's top Cryptozoology Books!

The list is compiled each year by Loren Coleman, an icon in the field of cryptozoology and head of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

Black Eyed Children in Abilene

The Abilene Public Library (That's Abilene, Texas) is showcasing my book The Black Eyed Children as part of their Halloween display this month. Also included are collected volumes of the B.E.K graphic series from AfterShock comics which I also wrote for.

Those familiar with the black eyed children will recall that the most well known modern encounter occurred in Abilene in the late 1990s.

Brian Bethel encountered the kids while sitting in his car writing a check. His report of the strange boys helped set off a modern wave of accounts from around the country and the world. 

Thanks to the library's south branch for this special display and feature.

Copper State Monsters Reviewed

Nieuwe Revu Interview

David was interviewed by the well known Netherlands news magazine Nieuwe Revu for its September 18th edition.

The popular magazine covered the much hyped event "Storm Area 51." A Dutch reporter met with David over the summer to discuss the UFO question and the mysteries of the mysterious base in the Nevada Desert.

I am delighted to welcome one of my favourite authors and researchers, David Weatherly to Mysteries and Monsters this week.

David has built a solid reputation as a dedicated and driven investigator, with a sense of humour and a humility that belies his intelligence and wit.

We discuss his two latest books, Copper State Monsters and Silver State Monsters, two excellent collections of stories from Arizona and Nevada covering a whole realm of paranormal and cryptid enocunters and legends.

From Lake Monsters to Bigfoot, Mysterious Big Cats, Thunderbirds, Ghosts and UFOs, both books are a fantastic introduction in the mysterious histories of both states. We also cover his brilliant Wood Knocks series and his forthcoming new book, Eerie Companions.
